Richard A. Berg
Founder
Mr. Berg’s career started in 1981 as a partner in Midwest Management Co., a start-up multi-family management company. In 1987, Rick started Goldmark Commercial Corporation, a brokerage company focused on commercial real estate investment including office, retail, warehouse and multi-family. Over 25 years leading a commercial real estate brokerage, Mr. Berg transacted hundreds of millions in real estate leasing and sales in the upper Midwest. In addition to the transactions Mr. Berg led, he also managed a team of agents that led the Fargo-Moorhead market in commercial transactions.

Mr. Berg focused on all areas of real estate, including office, retail, and multi-family. Throughout Mr. Berg’s career, he not only led transactions as a leasing agent, but also developed, built and managed over $500 million in real estate. Mr. Berg has worked with hundreds of local businesses, developers and national tenants in his real estate careers spanning three decades.

Over the last seven years, Mr. Berg started several ventures focusing on the acquisition and development of real estate assets working with property developers and managers across the Midwest. Mr. Berg started a new development/acquisition company, a property management company, and a financing company. Across his companies, Mr. Berg is working with local developers/managers to joint-venture/partner in properties with local experts who have knowledge and ability to develop/manage real estate (office, retail, multi-family) in their communities.

Mr. Berg has managed thousands of apartments, developed hundreds of thousands of square feet of office and retail space, and leased millions of square feet of real estate.

In addition to the business activities mentioned above, Mr. Berg served as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from 1984 until 2010. Thereafter, Mr. Berg represented the state of North Dakota in the United States House of Representatives from 2011 until 2013.
